With their self-titled debut, massive sludge entity Shit Hexis initially protruded from the mud. Having presented only the grimiest pieces of sonical delivery, this first release found resonance in the underground scene. Especially the viscid sound that seeks production in a viscisously raw environment built the foundation of an album that specifically caught my attention when it was released.
Having roamed the underground scene with their self-titled debut, Shit Hexis now return in 2026 in order to deliver yet another chunk of mere bile that will stain and overlay the listeners’ sonical perception. With their sophomore full-length release “Du Wurdest Noch Nie Geliebt,” Shit Hexis present a different take on the environment they built with the sound of their former release. Staggering piles of desperation crash on thundering fury while still occasionally happening to shed some light on what could be considered optimistic perspectives – or rather brief moments of manic episodes. Black Metal and Sludge is intertwined to such an extent that it becomes difficult to even differentiate when pinpointing specific genre elements, which constructs a strongly individual sound.
Recording duties were overtaken by Jan Oberg at Hidden Planet Studio, serving with the pure strength of the force that this release impacts. The incredibly fitting cover artwork that leaves no questions open was delivered by Misanthropic Art.
Du Wurdest Noch Nie Geliebt will be released on the 6th of November via Bleeding Heart Nihilist. This sophomore full-length will see the light of day on limited to 100 transparent violet 12″ vinyl with printed inlay and limited to 100 violet shell cassette tape that can be obtained at the label’s shop.
