Things a getting grim when there’s a black and white cover with dead people on it. Doghag from Munich deliver to that premise to the fullest. Their new album Hatred Blues isn’t here to bring any more brightness into your day or give you warmth, this one is here to set a scabby mark on your skin and ears.

37 minutes of Punk-bastardized-Sludge, that is Hatred Blues. If that genre mix sound odd to you, just check out “Of A Sick Mind“. Mostly dragging in mid tempo waters, there are always those little punk shots of adrenaline that won’t let your neck be the only thing that moves. “Bring Him Down” will turn your face to stone: those gnarly riffs combined with the bile that is coming out of the singers mouth will freeze any muscle in disgust (in a positive way). “All Quiet (On My Mind)” sounds like a bizarro-world-version of “When I come around” with a whole lot more grit to it.

Doghag succeed in crafting an album that is the aural equivalent of heartburn while running downhill. The sour feeling of stomach acid creeping uncontrollably up your throat while your body gets worn out. This is strenuous music in the most positive way.
