TMB Release Highlights May 2020

– 1st of May, 2020 –

Umbra Vitae – Shadow of Life

(Deathwish Inc.)

Thomas

Hatebreed, Converge, The Red Chord and Job for a Cowboy-members in ONE band? This cannot be not awesome.

Infestment – Human Altar

(Maggot Stomp)

Roman

Another nasty straightforward Death Metal release coming from Maggot Stomp – what else do I have to say?

Golden Ashes – In the Lugubrious Silence of Eternal Night

(Oaken Palace Records)

Roman

This is no easy listening, but the previous release Gold Are The Ashes Of The Restorer was magnificent already – let’s see what this is gonna be like.

– 4th of May, 2020 –

Cryptic Shift – Visitations from Enceladus

(Blood Harvest Records)

Roman

If you are into Progressive Death sound coming with dissonant and complex riffing, listen into this release by Cryptic Shift!

– 8th of May, 2020 –

The Hirsch Effekt – Kollaps

(Long Branch Records)

Thomas

German mathcore with cryptic song-names (as usual). Who can‘t be into this?

– 22nd of May, 2020 –

Caligula’s Horse – Rise Radiant

(InsideOut Music)

Patrik

With their fifth studio album, the high quality Progressive Metal band comes back on May 22. I wonder if they could reach that high score from the critiques again? Their first single “Slow Violence” shows us, this could be!

– 29th of May, 2020 –

Lesser Glow – Nullity

(Pelagic Records)

Steven Transcended

Lesser Glow impresses with their refined simplicity. The massiv ‘Ruined’ (2018) was a heavy slap of Noise-drenched Doom, so I am pretty excited about what the band will offer with ‘Nullity’. I pre-ordered the limited vinyl bundle from Pleagic, of course!

Alestorm – Curse of the Crystal Coconut

(Napalm Records)

Patrik Transcended

At the end of May, Christopher Bowes and his pirate crew are again sailing through the seven seas to party and plunder. During the last years, the band more and more achieved recognition, because they’re not always to be taken seriously and their gigs are fun. The last had his flaws, but again some very good Party Metal songs. Their first singles “Treasure Chest Party Quest” promise us again a good Album, which some will hate and some will love.
